Milk Gone Wild

[ DISCLAIMER: this video is not really inappropriate so much as just totally bizarre and alien. it is attempting to prove some point about milk, but blame PETA if you're offended. Total WEIRDOS. ]
PETA is an animal rights group. I don’t really follow them and I also love meat. I’m not for the cruelty of animals, but I just don’t care about PETA. However, they do make some great commercials including this soon-to-be-famous banned Super Bowl commercial. Here’s Milk Gone Wild, my favorite one from their site:

Armed Amerucuh

Photographer Kyle Cassidy did a set of photos in 2007 of Americans and their guns. Check out the full online set or go buy the book. Washington Post said this of the book: “…Each picture in Armed America could be a pro-gun advertisement - or an anti-gun poster. That’s what makes the book so riveting.”

Totally Rad Fish Tanks
Posted by QuenchPops | Filed under Art & Design, Yachts, Gadgets, & Bling
I got a cuban tree frog (”Frogbama”) recently and every time I go to the pet store to buy him crickets, I pass by the massive, beautiful fish tanks. And now I really, really want a tropical fish tank. Maybe I should just make sure my dog and frog are happy, so in the meantime web finds like this tide me over (originally from weburbanist, props to Chris Erin for link):
The Fish Highway
Pressurized tubes allow fish to travel from one tank to another through tubes.

Telephone Booth Aquarium

Deep fry while you camp.

GENIUS!
The Coleman Frywell Portable Fryer ($140 on Amazon, $160 at Coleman) needs no cords and is propane powered from one 16.4 oz propane cylinder. While there is something to be said for throwing a freshly gut trout in some tin foil and tossing it on an open flame, I see nothing wrong with bringing along some batter and tossin’ that sucka in a boiling pot of oil. The leftover oil? Let it cool, pour it back into the bottle you bought it in, and bring it back to the city to dispose of properly.
Other deep fry ideas while camping: Beer battered onion rings, beer battered berries, beer battered bear, etc.

QuenchPad 2009: “… Don’t know which way I’m gonna turn”
Posted by QuenchPops | Filed under Current Events, Stick it in your ear.
Just figured this was the absolute best way to describe my outlook for the new year, as this is QP’s first post for 2009: As sung by the great Neil Young in his upcoming album, “There’s A Fork In The Road, Don’t Know Which Way I’m Gonna Turn”…
Specifically he says “Download this, it sounds like shit. Keep on bloggin, till the power goes out, your battery’s dead, twist and shout.” Don’t know if that’s a comment about blogging, about the quality of mp3s, or what, but he did this in one take so rock the F on Mr. Young.
